Director People Operations (f/m/d)

AOP Health is seeking a Director People Operations to lead the strategic development and optimization of People operations and data analytics across regions, ensuring compliant, scalable, and tech-enabled processes that support organizational growth and operational excellence.

What Your Day To Day Will Look Like

  • Design and lead scalable People operations processes across Austria and regional locations

  • Oversee payroll and compliance, ensuring adherence to local labor laws and regulatory requirements with the strong focus on DACH region

  • Lead and develop a high-performing People Operations team

    Select, implement, and optimize HR systems and tools (e.g., HRIS, payroll platforms, analytics dashboards)

  • Develop and manage data-driven People reporting and analytics to support strategic decision-making

  • Drive process standardization while accommodating local market needs and legal requirements

  • Ensure data integrity and security in all HR systems and processes

    Continuously improve employee lifecycle processes (onboarding, offboarding, compensation and benefits administration, etc.)

  • Support transformation projects, including reorganizations, integrations, and digitalization initiatives

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Finance, Legal, IT, and Country HR teams for seamless service delivery

Your Qualifications and Experience

  • 8+ years of progressive experience in HR Operations, with a focus on international/regional (DACH) scope

  • Proven leadership experience in managing HR teams across multiple geographies

  • Strong expertise in payroll management and HR compliance, particularly within the DACH region

  • Hands-on experience with modern HRIS and payroll systems (e.g., SAGE DPW, Workday, SAP SuccessFactors, ADP, Personio)

    Solid background in HR data analytics, reporting, and the use of dashboards to drive decisions

  • Deep understanding of end-to-end HR processes, including onboarding, offboarding, and benefits administration

  • Track record of leading process improvements and digital transformation in HR

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills at all organizational levels

  • Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field

  • Proficiency in English and German is essential for this role
