Director Program Management Office (f/m/d)

As Director PMO, you will take a strategic role in shaping and driving AOP Health’s most impactful global development programs and brands. Reporting to the Head of PMO, you will work at the interface of R&D, Operations, Medical, Market Access and Commercial, ensuring that high-priority programs are delivered faster, leaner, and more effectively — aligned with long-term global brand strategies and corporate objectives, while supporting our mission to bring innovative therapies to patients with high unmet need.

What Your Day To Day Will Look Like

Strategic Program Management

  • Oversee and manage high-priority programs from early-stage to commercialization.
  • Support long-term strategic global brand planning, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives and evolving external environments.
  • Translate long term goals into adaptive and agile program management.

Program & Project Execution

  • Manage key projects, issues, risks, and evaluations
  • Identify and implement synergies and efficiencies to accelerate delivery and optimize resources.
  • Provide strategic and tactical oversight of cross-functional interdependencies, ensuring seamless execution.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Lead program teams comprised of senior experts in various disciplines, including CMC, Clinical, Quality, Regulatory, Medical, Market Access, Marketing, Supply, etc.
  • Act as the senior interface between (Senior) Director Global Brands and the program teams
  • Work closely with (Senior) Director Global Brands, supporting them in balancing long-term strategy with near-term operational priorities.
  • Build strong partnerships with internal and external stakeholders to drive organizational alignment.

Executive Engagement & Governance

  • Present updates, strategic options, and recommendations to senior management and governance bodies.
  • Enable decision-making at the program, executive, and board of directors level.
  • Contribute to the development of PMO and organizational initiatives.

Your Qualifications and Experience

  • Advanced degree in Life Sciences, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or Business
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in the pharmaceutical or biotech industry, with 5 years proven leadership in global program management
  • Deep understanding of drug development, launch, market access and commercial lifecycle
  • Demonstrated success in steering complex cross-functional programs at a senior level
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills in English
  • Strong strategic thinking, scenario modelling, and analytical skills, with a track record of delivering results under challenging conditions
  • Excellent stakeholder management, interacting with diverse matrix teams, senior executives, and external stakeholders
  • Experience in agile program management and organizational transformation

  • Gross annual salary provided for this function is a minimum of EUR 100,000.- based on full-time employment (38.5h/week). Any potential overpayment depends on professional experience and qualifications.
