Empressin® is an artificially produced active substance equivalent to the natural hormone vasopressin. It regulates the water balance of the body and reduces the urinary excretion.
Empressin® is used in states of septic shock after unsuccessful use of other adequate methods to obtain target blood pressure values set by treating physicians.
