Targeting Rare Diseases and Critical Care.

AOP Health has been fully engaged in pharmaceutical and clinical development and drug commercialization for more than 25 years.
The motivation of our team at AOP Health is to help patients suffering from rare diseases. We achieve this by collaborating with stakeholders in the Polish healthcare system. Partnerships in the pharmaceutical industry and in the healthcare field are key to finding and providing solutions for patients, especially in the treatment of rare diseases.
Poland occupies a special position among the many countries where AOP Health has subsidiaries. The company began its growth in this market in 2002. Here, too, AOP Health has one of its largest local teams, with more than twenty employees for all three therapeutic areas.

Whether a disease is defined as a rare disease depends on the frequency of its occurrence in the population. However, from the global point of view the definition is not consistent. Thus, in Europe those diseases that occur in less than 5 per 10,000 residents are defined as rare diseases.
