All of AOP Orphan’s business units and subsidiaries have now been united under the new AOP Health brand.  

Vienna, January 20, 2022. Previously known as AOP Orphan, AOP Health is a European pioneer for integrated therapies for rare diseases and in critical care. The international healthcare group is headquartered in Vienna, Austria, and focuses on research, development and global sales of innovative treatment solutions. The Group continued its systematic growth with the establishment of OrphaCare in 2018 and takeovers of Amomed Pharma GmbH and SciPharm S.à.r.l. in 2020. This also enabled AOP Health to gain a foothold in the intensive care and emergency medicine sector.  

AOP Health – all business units under one roof 

To reflect this step, the Group has introduced a new umbrella brand: AOP Orphan will be renamed AOP Health, creating a new brand identity that covers all of the Group’s business segments. Within this umbrella brand, the two companies OrphaCare and SciPharm now operate as AOP Care. The new brand AOP Health also highlights the patient-focused, integrated approach that the company has adopted since it was set up. It also underlines the fact that health is our most important asset – especially in the midst of the current pandemic.  

Committed to protecting patient health and wellbeing for 25 years 

The company celebrates its 25th anniversary this year and gifted itself a new brand name to mark the occasion. “The new brand is our way of expressing our commitment to helping patients, which has remained unchanged for a quarter century and includes integrated treatment concepts that are about much more than just pharmaceuticals,” AOP Health Group CEO Andreas Steiner pointed out.  

Needs. Science. Trust. – new claim underlines Group’s focus 

AOP Health believes it has a responsibility to make innovative integrated therapies and disease-management solutions available long term to as many patients as possible who suffer from rare diseases or require critical care. “We want to earn the trust of these people and do everything we can to cure their illness, or at least improve their quality of life. To achieve this, we are in close contact with healthcare professionals, researchers and patients,” said Steiner, commenting on the new brand story. The company aims to use a new claim – Needs. Science. Trust – to underline this focus more strongly in its messaging. These three aspects always take center stage – no matter whether the focus is on rare diseases, intensive care or 24/7 patient services. Andreas Steiner added: “And what says more about what we strive to do in our day-to-day work than putting ‘Health’ front and center? Is there anything more important than that?”

Brand relaunch in collaboration with Verdino 

The AOP Health rebranding project was implemented in cooperation with Vienna-based creative agency Verdino, which specializes in healthcare and responsible business.
